Healing a Marriage: Ronald

  • Feb 2019: Ronald’s wife enquires about care at our centre and receives psychosocial support.

  • Aug 2019: Ronald seeks help at our centre after release from DRC. Presents with substance addiction, sexual assault and shame over HIV status. Attends self help group meetings and recovers via peer support and mentorship through 12 step programme.

  • Jul 2020: Receives our peer support training and becomes a Greenhouse Peer Supporter. We encourage him to become a counsellor.

  • Aug 2020: Begins studies at Executive Counselling Training Centre. Accepted into The Greenhouse Counselling Internship Programme and becomes a Greenhouse Volunteer Counsellor.

  • Currently a 12 step mentor and professional counsellor at an established community addictions treatment centre.
