WHO WE ARE

The Greenhouse is a recovery centre for marginalised and vulnerable communities. Though all are welcome, we especially help women, those who are LGBT, racial minority or living with HIV heal from trauma and outgrow addiction.

WHAT WE DO

We provide competent and compassionate care that does not further stigmatise or retraumatise those who seek help at our centre, regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.

HOW WE DO IT

Data Driven: We conduct our own studies and compare them to data from existing studies

Evidence Based: We only practice what has been proven to work

Trauma Informed: We recognise symptoms of trauma and actively avoid retraumatisation

Strengths Based: We identify and amplify the strengths within our clients

Person Centred: We meet the client where they are rather than where we want them to be

Sex Positive: We never shame the client for behavior that does no harm

LGBT Affirming: We affirm the client for who they are and not what society expects them to be

OUR RECOVERY MODEL

Bio, Psycho, Social, Spiritual (BPSS)

The Greenhouse adopts the Biopsychosocial-Spiritual approach, a holistic framework for understanding and addressing an individual’s health and well-being.

Through this model, we help our clients Heal from trauma, Grow as a person, and Serve others.
