  • Jul 2019: First seeks help at The Greenhouse. Presents with substance use, adverse childhood experiences and grief over best friend’s suicide. Misdiagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • Nov 2019: Arrested and incarcerated for substance use. His mother joins our Caregivers Support Programme.

  • Nov 2020: Attends self help group meetings and recovers via mentorship through 12 step programme, individual counselling and group therapy. Shows special interest in art therapy, pet therapy and therapeutic horticulture. We encourage him to pursue social work.

  • Feb 2022: Receives peer support training and becomes a Greenhouse Peer Supporter.

  • Currently a coordinator of our therapeutic horticulture programme and studying Psychological Science at James Cook University to study. His mother leads our Caregivers Support Programme, while his sister just joined our Research Internship Programme.
